Imaginext Batman Batcave – Fisher Price Imaginext DC Super Friends Batcave
Imaginext Batman Batcave
Look out, the ever popular Fisher-Price has come out with Imaginext Batman Batcave! Imaginext Batman Batcave is one of the hottest toys that many parents will find on their sons’ Christmas wish list this year. And it’s no surprise too because Batman has been a popular cultural icon for many years back when Batman began as a comic book character. But Bruce Wayne, the secret identity of Batman, cannot be without his secret headquarters: the batcave! That’s where all the action begins.
What’s So Special About the Imaginext Batman Batcave?I was just at the store with my family the other day and noticed the batcave in a demo display case. I was surprised at how big it is! Note: if you were looking for the older, wider version of the batcave, scroll down the page. It would be silly to have the Imaginext Batman Batcave without the included Batman and Robin toy figures. The Imaginext Batman Batcave toy figures are used to activate 5 different things on the cave itself. When the child places the toy figures on each knob and turns them, they reveal a secret entrance, rotate the turnstile, work on the Batcycle with the mechanical claw, raise and lower the elevator for total Batcave access, and reveal the telescope to look out for bad guys! No Imaginext Batman Batcave can be without the bat signal that lights up! The child can fire projectiles from behind Imaginext Batman Batcave walls that retract. To access all of the levels of the Imaginext Batman Batcave, Batman and Robin are used to activate the disk to raise and lower the elevator. { Click here to view other Imaginext Batman accessories } |

Oops! Were You Looking for This Imaginext Batcave?
As I was looking online, I found this batcave which is also from the Fisher Price Imaginext line. It does essentially the same thing as the other batcave that I talked about above, only it’s wider and not as tall. It, too, has 5 activation points and includes both Batman and Robin. I think this may be the older version as it has way more customer reviews with an amazing 5 stars.
Another thing I noticed about this batcave is that it has a working draw bridge, something that the newer batcave does not have. I bet you can already see your child opening the draw bridge and shooting the included batcycle through to save the day!
Batman and Robin vs. the Penguin
Complete your child’s batcave by getting him the Penguin and his submarine. It’ll be an epic adventure between good vs. evil! Watch your child as he and his DC friends try to prevent Penguin from getting away in his fin-flipping submarine!
Look out! Penguin’s submarine is equipped with 2 purple disks that your child can shoot at Batman and Robin by pressing a button on the submarine.
Bad Stuff About the Imaginext Batman Batcave that Parents Don’t Want:
- The Imaginext Batman Batcave requires 2 AAA batteries, so make sure you have them on hand
- A Philip screwdriver, while a common household tool, not all people own one
- What? No Joker for Batman and Robin to chase after? Unfortunately, the Imaginext Batman Batcave you’ll have to buy one separately
- Must pay for other accessories
Customer Reviews

One satisfied customer of the newer batcave toy said…Fisher-Price Imaginext has really outdone themselves on this fantastic four full floors of fun Batcave. It comes basically put together with only 2 things an adult has to do before the kids move into this tall hideout for Batman and Robin- the first is to get a phillips screwdriver, go to the third floor behind the launcher door and put in the 2 AAA batteries.**********One unhappy customer who bought this toy said…The Imaginext DC Super Friends Batcave playset will entertain kids from 3 to ten. It’s a large structure with different levels for lots of imaginative play. However, many of the moving parts work clunkily out of the box or else feel like they won’t stand up to a lot of playtime. Many of the moving parts are triggered by red discs that turn like knobs. Each disc has a pair of footprints for you to plug any Imaginext figure into and then turn like a key. However, the fit between the disc and the figures rarely snug enough to allow little hands to trigger the reaction this way. As a result, my kids gave up on this almost immediately and began opening gates and moving the elevator manually.
My Final Thoughts…
Would I recommend this toy to parents? Of course I would! It’s a hot toy that many boys have on their wish list. But personally, if my son was interested in Batman, I would get him the older batcave version mainly because of the drawbridge.
